I’m getting really excited planning content for next year, but before I get ahead of myself, thank you! Thank you for reading this blog, which I started in August. This blog was intended to inspire myself to get out and explore the child friendly side of Washington, D.C. to its fullest. I didn’t anticipate that this project would bring new friends and collaborations into my life, and I’m so grateful for that-especially as the new kid in town. Here’s a recap of three of my favorite posts, three of my most popular posts and three posts about new openings in DC. You can also find me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Happy New Years!
My Favorite Three Posts this Year
These three posts were my personal favorites. I studied plants in college and I love to eat, and my favorites reflect that.
1. Corpse Flower Live Stream
The Corpse Flower at the United States Botanical Garden blooms infrequently and briefly. I was really excited to see it, Ooey not so much.
2. Luncheon at L’Enfant
L’Enfant Metro stop is my FAVORITE place to grab lunch on the National Mall. It’s hard to go wrong with so many options, and as a bonus you can eat picnic style during the warmer months.
3. Five Places to Indulge your Sweet Tooth
This French bakery made my list for top five places to schedule an outing around.
My Most Popular Three Posts this Year
So, The Corpse Flower Live Stream post did not win any popularity contests among readers, I’m shocked! But these three posts have been the most viewed this year.
1. Nibble and Squeak DC is Here!
The D.C. chapter of Nibble&Squeak brings fine dining to parents and their young children.
2. The Family Photo Shoot with Brackish Photography
Our photoshoot with Rachel of Brackish Photography was such a blast, I’m still deciding which pictures to print.
3. The Great Indoors: My Top Three Favorite Indoor Playspaces
The Play Work Build exhibit at the Building Museum is great fun for parents and kids alike.
Posts about New and Exciting Events in Washington, D.C.
There’s always something new happening in Washington, D.C.!
1. The DC with Kids Guide to the National Museum of African American History and Culture
The reflection pool at the National Museum of African American History and Culture provides a quite place to decompress.
2. Nook Playspace Opens in Arlington
Party animals at Nook playspace in Arlington.
3. Museum of the Bible Coming Fall 2017
While renovations are underway for the grand opening this Fall, the sunset view from the roof remains stunning.
Thanks for reading, and happy New Years!
