The best selling book in the world has inspired the construction of what will be the second largest museum in Washington DC. The Museum of The Bible, funded by Hobby Lobby, is slated to open November 2017. Last night I had the pleasure of visiting the museum with other local instagrammers and Museum of Bible staff who showed us around. Jeremy Burton, Director of Communications and Marketing, says to see every article in the museum would take nine full days, but they plan on easing the FOMO (fear of missing out) by gearing up on the technology. Every visitor over the age of two will receive a tablet (one, not two-Jeremy gets credit for that joke) which will serve as a docent, in part. The tablets are to also have a GPS feature with the ability to track others in your party, you will not lose your kid here! And speaking of kids, they are to have a children’s center on the ground level. Courageous Pages and its lion mascot will guide children though the bible in a fun kid friendly environment.
